  
What I do at the mosque?
Actually it's usually men and boys who come here. Islam is very strict about men and women mixing. My Mum and I usually do our prayers at home. I come here once a week on a Monday night to the special mosque school.
The Imam teaches us things about our religion and how to read the Qu'ran, (Koran) which is our holy book and has to be treated very respectfully - like we always wash our hands before touching it, and we never let it touch the floor. It's in Arabic but you can get it with your own language printed alongside. There's a girls' class and a boys' class. |
