I'm Daniel, Megan's Dad. I was born in Cardiff so I'm Welsh, though that surprises some people because I'm black as well. My father was a seaman from Africa, and when his ship landed in Cardiff in 1918 he decided to stay. He wasn't the only one - there's been a bit of a black community in Cardiff ever since then.
Mind you I don't speak much Welsh or anything - not many people from Cardiff do - but I've picked up a little bit from my Ma-in-law after living with her for the past few years. She lives right out in the countryside where lots of people speak the language. I work as a draughtsman, making technical drawings of things before engineers make them.
